Within easy walking distance are independent shops, Babbacombe theatre, Bygones Victorian museum, and the world famous Babbacombe Model Village
There are two beaches, Babbacombe and Oddicombe:
Babbacombe beach, with its old harbour pier. This beach is very popular for sailing, diving, and fishing. Angling trips are available from Torquay, Paignton and Brixham
and
Oddicombe beach, which has its own funicular cliff railway that has been operating since 1926. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and is the base of the Corinthian yacht club. It offers beach huts and water sports.
